Established in 1992 with the mission to foster the development and promotion of horseracing in Dubai, the Dubai Racing Club saw its inaugural races under rules held in March 1992 at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. The Dubai World Cup stands as a global spectacle, attracting the best horses and riders from around the world. This grand event, held at Meydan Racecourse, is the world's most spectacular race day, featuring a total prize money of US$26.5 million across nine races. The pinnacle of the day is the title contest, with a staggering US$12 million at stake, making it one of the richest horse races globally.
