In 2007, at the age of 21, Ramirez made a significant life decision by immigrating to the United States. His path to the U.S. was shaped by being selected to receive an American visa through a Cuban lottery program, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
Race Imboden Ramirez continued to pursue his fencing career in the United States, representing Team USA at the Senior World Championships in 2015.
