Fall ball is officially in full swing, and this is the best two-week stretch of the preseason. Spooky Nook sells out, the Carolinas tip off at Carolina Courts, Chris Paul's combine hits Indiana, and Halloween weekend turns every gym from Fort Lauderdale to Portland into a costume party with a scoreboard. If your team has an open date between now and October 25, there is a bracket with your name on it.

We went through more than 120 verified events on the calendar for this stretch and pulled the 18 that bring the deepest fields, the best venues and the clearest path to exposure. Florida and the Southeast: Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte

Back-To-Back Battle, Palm Beach County, Oct. 17 to 18. Perseverance Basketball runs the deepest fall brackets in the county, and this one covers boys 3rd grade through varsity and girls 5th through varsity at $375 per team with multi-team discounts. South Florida Jamfest VI, Fort Lauderdale, Oct. 24 to 25. Marcus McGee Basketball's Jamfest is the Broward fall staple, and the sixth edition lands on Halloween-eve weekend, one week before the Spooktacular Showdown. Halloween Mania, Orlando, Oct. 24 to 25. On The Radar Hoops has been the one-stop shop for boys grassroots exposure since 2010, pairing its scouting report for college coaches with tournaments like this one at Southeastern Prep. Next Gen Academy, Atlanta, Oct. 17 to 18. NGS Hoops opens its fall with a boys and girls academy for 6th through 10th graders, the same organization that runs the Elite 60 and the GBU All-American Camp. Fall Face-Off powered by OrthoCarolina, Indian Trail, N.C., Oct. 17 to 18. RISE Events brings boys and girls to Carolina Courts, the Charlotte area's go-to tournament facility, with Winter Impact, the Gate City Winter Jam and Winter Nationals all stacked behind it on the RISE calendar. Texas: Katy, Round Rock and the Spurs

Hoops for Hope Classic, Katy, Oct. 17 to 18. Alamo City All-Stars brings its three-games-in-one-day format to Katy Victory Sports Center for a first-annual event, which means your team plays Saturday or Sunday, not both, and gets a full day of basketball for one trip. Road to Nationals Preseason Slam 2, Round Rock, Oct. 17 to 18. This is the value play of the weekend: boys and girls, 2nd grade through varsity, elite, competitive and developmental divisions, a $195 entry fee, a one-day, three-game guarantee and BallerTV streaming so family out of town can watch. Spurs Tipoff Training Camp, San Antonio, Oct. 17. Not a tournament, but the last Saturday of the Spurs Sports Academy's tryout-prep sessions at the Spurs Impact Center on Spurs Lane, for ages 10 to 18 at $150 per session. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic: Spooky Nook, Philly, DMV, New England

Fall Mayhem Classic, Spooky Nook Sports, Manheim, Pa., Oct. 17 to 18. AGame Hoops and Premier 1 Events team up for the fall opener at the biggest indoor sports complex in the country, and by AGame's own account it sells out every single year. Boys and girls, 2nd grade through varsity, with teams from more than 10 states. Register for the youth basketball tournament at Spooky Nook in Manheim.

MADE Hoops Fall Previews, Oct. 17 to 18, and Halloween Mania, Oct. 24 to 25. The largest independent circuit in the country runs its fall previews on the same weekend in Chicago, Westford, Mass., Baltimore and Toronto, then comes back to Spooky Nook for Halloween Mania. Next Up DMV, Laurel, Md., Oct. 17 to 18. Love Day Hoops runs a tight, three-game-guaranteed weekend at North Laurel Community Center for $295, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Fencor/Philly Small College Showcase, Warminster, Pa., Oct. 17 to 18. The fourth annual girls showcase at Hustle Hoops brings 15 to 25 small colleges to one gym for grades 8 through 12, and schools attend at no cost, which is why the coaches show up. Battle in the Northeast, Philadelphia, Oct. 24 to 25. NGS Hoops' second stop of the fall is a 3rd through 9th grade tournament at Hustle Hoops PA, a week after Atlanta and a week before its Super Hoops preseason tournament in Columbus, N.J. VH CT Fall State Championships, New Haven, Oct. 24 to 25. Vertical Hoops has run New Haven every weekend since early October, and this is the one the fall series builds to, with Halloween Havoc and the Winter Tip-Off right behind it. Midwest and Mountain West: CP3's Combine, Vegas and the Quad Cities

CP3 National Middle School Combine, Central, Lebanon, Ind., Oct. 23 to 25. Chris Paul's combine series is the most serious evaluation a middle schooler can get, and the Central stop at The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse is three days of testing, teaching and film. Battle for Vegas at UNLV, Oct. 23 to 25. The Assembly and Mack Attack Prep bring prep teams to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for four guaranteed pool-play games, seeding by record and a true championship game, played with two 20-minute halves and a running clock. Haunted Hoops Classic, Davenport, Iowa, Oct. 24 to 25. Triple Threat Tournaments runs the Quad Cities' fall calendar out of Beyond The Baseline, with boys on Saturday and girls on Sunday and schedules out by Wednesday. West Coast: Seattle, Portland and the East Bay

Seattle's Finest, Oct. 17 to 18, and Bridge City ISO, Portland, Oct. 24 to 25. HoopSource, which says it now serves more than 10,000 high school and youth teams, runs both: Seattle's Finest with Hoop Scene this weekend, then Bridge City ISO across the Portland metro with youth and high school divisions split D1 through D3 so every team gets a level that fits. Bay Area Live, East Bay, Oct. 17 to 18. Hoop Dreams Live's lone California stop of the fall, sandwiched between its Washington events (Monstarz Jam in Vancouver the same weekend, Halloween Hoopfest in Pierce County Oct. 24 to 25). Register for the youth basketball tournament in the East Bay.

Circle It: Halloween Weekend and the NYC Fall Brawl

October 31 is the biggest single day on the fall calendar. In New York, Elite 32's Fall Brawl takes over Basketball City at Pier 36 for 9U through 17U with two games guaranteed, billed as the preseason standard for NYC and tri-state programs; register for the preseason basketball tournament in New York City. In Florida, Marcus McGee's Spooktacular Showdown (Fort Lauderdale) and Central Florida Jamfest II (Orlando) run the same weekend, with Perseverance's Full Court Fright in West Palm Beach.
