How to get recruited for college sports
Top recruits do not get found by accident. Coaches find players through film, rankings, events and word of mouth, and BallerTube is built to put an athlete in all four places at once. Here is how to get recruited for college sports, step by step.
1. Get your film in front of coaches. Upload a short highlight reel with your best plays first, then add full games so coaches can see how you play every possession. Keep it all on one athlete profile with your position, class year, grades and contact info.
2. Know the calendar. In basketball, live period recruiting happens during NCAA evaluation windows, when college coaches can watch prospects in person at certified events. Other sports have their own showcase seasons and contact dates, so check the rules for your sport and division.
3. Reach out first. Email coaches at schools that fit you athletically and academically. Include your profile link, your film and your schedule. Our NIL, recruiting and exposure guide has a timeline by grade and a coach email template.
4. Register with the eligibility center. Division I and II prospects need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. NAIA schools use their own eligibility center.
How to get a sports scholarship. Athletic scholarships are offered at NCAA Division I and II, NAIA and junior colleges. Division III schools do not give athletic scholarships, but many offer strong academic aid. The athletes who earn offers usually have three things: film that shows their level, grades that keep options open, and coaches who know who they are.
