This one had all the smoke. At EYBL Session 2 in Houston, the Miami Suns nearly handed Cy Fair their first loss in a wild, overtime thriller.
The Suns were led by Jaelynn Housey and Kori Edge, who delivered clutch plays late in regulation and nearly sealed the game with a 7-point lead and under two minutes left.
But Cy Fair flipped the switch when it mattered.
Jemini Mitchell, Maddi Stewart, Maryiah Alfred, and Amborisa Cole locked in on both ends and forced overtime with a late run.
In the extra period, Cy Fair’s poise and physicality proved too much. A final three-point attempt from Victoria Valle was tipped, sealing the win for the undefeated Houston squad.
