Jim Thompson, founder of Positive Coaching Alliance, is on a mission to reshape youth sports into a "Development Zone" that creates Better Athletes, Better People. In a sports landscape often dominated by a win-at-all-cost mentality, Jim offers a powerful alternative vision—one that prioritizes the development of character, leadership, and life skills alongside athletic success. An Ashoka Fellow and author of nine books, including Elevating Your Game: Becoming A Triple-Impact Competitor, Jim also teaches courses on coaching, leadership, and sport & spirituality at Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program. With 40 million youth involved in sports, this growing movement has the potential to create far-reaching positive impacts on our society. Join Jim as he shares this transformative vision at a TEDx event, where ideas worth spreading come to life in a unique, self-organized setting.
