DeWitt is a 5-foot-8 point guard in the Class of 2028, attending Marietta High School in Georgia and playing club basketball for AEBL Girlz.
Even before her standout freshman varsity season, DeWitt had already earned nine Division I offers as a middle schooler. That early interest was a preview of what was coming.
In her first varsity season, DeWitt averaged 25.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a freshman and was nominated for the Georgia Women's Basketball Player of the Year award.
Scouts have noted she is nearly automatic when allowed to catch and shoot, equally dangerous off the dribble, and a constant threat on offense from the moment she crosses halfcourt. She handles the ball at a high level and does a strong job getting downhill and attacking the basket.
A List That Keeps Growing
The Alabama offer adds to a list that already includes Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Auburn, Mississippi State, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, Marquette, Florida State, Missouri, California, Arizona State, St. John's, SMU, Rutgers, Miami, and Virginia Tech, among others.
Iowa also joined the mix. After a conversation with the Iowa coaching staff in June 2025, DeWitt announced the Hawkeye offer, and by that point she had already surpassed 10 Division I scholarship offers.
Most recently, DeWitt announced a scholarship offer from the University of Central Florida after a conversation with coach @coachgabelazo, adding a Big 12 program to her growing list. She shared the news on her Instagram, posting the Knights-branded graphic in her AEBL Girlz uniform.
Prep Girls Hoops ranks DeWitt as the No. 2 overall prospect and top point guard in Georgia for the 2028 class.
Built for This
The foundation runs deep. DeWitt's father Derrick serves as her high school coach at Marietta, and both he and her mother Renee played college basketball at Stetson University. Derrick DeWitt has said the family always believed the game would show up in their children.
DeWitt herself has credited her consistency and aggressiveness on both ends of the floor as the driving force behind her development, and her father has described her as unafraid of big moments with a strong bond with her teammates.
The Club Connection
On the grassroots circuit, DeWitt competes with AEBL Girlz, a program with a strong track record of developing high-level prospects. Her performances at events, including the Sunshine State Showdown, have put her in front of coaching staffs from across the country and only accelerated the timeline on an already elite recruiting profile.
