TJ Ariche was one of the players I was most interested in seeing at the PrepsNation Elite 20 Showcase. She drew significant attention over the summer and picked up several Division I offers. At this workout, it was easy to see why.
The 6’1 Guard has a smooth offensive game and scores at all three levels. She shoots with confidence, gets into the paint and finishes consistently with either hand. Her size and skill make her difficult to guard one-on-one, especially when she finds a rhythm early. Defensively, she stays low, keeps her hands active and looks for opportunities to disrupt passing lanes.
Ariche was the most impressive talent I saw at the workout. Her shooting stands out, but the range of her game and exceptional length is what makes her such a compelling high-major prospect.
