Real American Freestyle, the professional freestyle wrestling league, has agreed to buy the company behind three of the biggest youth wrestling tournaments in the country. RAF announced Thursday that it reached an agreement to acquire World of Wrestling, which runs the Tulsa Nationals, the Reno Worlds and the Kickoff Classic, according to Fightful and Buying Sandlot. Financial terms were not disclosed.

What Changes at the Tulsa Nationals

Not the name, according to RAF. CEO Chad Bronstein told Buying Sandlot the events will be billed as "World of Wrestling powered by RAF," and he compared the Tulsa Nationals to the Little League World Series for youth wrestling. RAF plans to add production, content and sponsors. The Roller family, which built the tournaments, stays involved, and RAF said it looks forward to working alongside them.

The three events now feed RAF's Next Gen youth circuit. Coverage of the deal places the Kickoff Classic in November, the Tulsa Nationals in January and the Reno Worlds in April.

RAF Next Gen Goes to Abu Dhabi, Chicago and Long Island

RAF Next Gen holds its fourth event, and its first outside the U.S., in Abu Dhabi next weekend, and Bronstein said it is sold out. The fifth is in Chicago over Thanksgiving weekend, and the top-ranked wrestlers meet in a December showcase on Long Island, per Buying Sandlot. Bronstein also floated a future event sending Tulsa Nationals champions to compete in Dagestan.

Clubs Next: Tampa First, Then About 25 in 2027

The tournaments are one half of RAF's youth plan. It bought Beebe Trained Wrestling Academy in the Tampa area to open its first RAF CLUB, according to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and Bronstein told Buying Sandlot he expects to acquire around 25 wrestling clubs in 2027. Families heading to Tulsa in January will find the same bracket, under a new owner. More youth sports business coverage is on the BallerTube wrestling page.
