Jett Feeney came into Friday's Class 6A second-round game with 3,054 passing yards, a Minnesota-record 46 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. Prior Lake safety Zak Loehlein picked him off twice in the fourth quarter, and the top-ranked team in the state is done.

Prior Lake beat Moorhead 19-14 at Jim Gotta Stadium in Moorhead on Friday, Nov. 6, according to InForum. The Star Tribune, which had Moorhead No. 1 in its state Top 25 and Prior Lake No. 24, called it the biggest upset of the round. Moorhead, the No. 1 seed, finishes 9-1 after averaging 46.8 points a game. Prior Lake, the No. 4 seed, started 0-4 and has now won six in a row.

Seven Points Before Halftime, Then Two Fourth-Quarter Scores

Luke Watkins ran 35 yards for the only first-half score with 3:11 left in the second quarter. Moorhead had reached the Prior Lake 8 on its opening drive and come away empty when Jovaney Kanneh's 30-yard field goal hit the upright, and it got to the 12 later in the half without scoring. Caleb Kazeck's 44-yard catch from Feeney made it 7-6 in the third, but a bad snap wiped out the extra point and the two-point try failed.

Bauer Tabatt then threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns for Prior Lake, 18 yards to Josh Barlass with 11:11 left and 24 yards to Leo Gidley with 2:45 to go, for a 19-6 lead. Feeney scored on a 4-yard run and added the two-point conversion with 2:01 left, but Moorhead did not recover the onside kick. Feeney finished 11 of 24 for 128 yards with a touchdown and the two interceptions. Watkins carried 23 times for 94 yards.
