World Wide Technology has put its name on the shirts of Luke Donald, Ben Griffin and five other touring pros. On Thursday it added a college junior. Stanford's Jay Leng Jr. is the company's first name, image and likeness ambassador, and the announcement came the same morning he teed off in WWT's own PGA Tour event.
Leng, a 21-year-old from San Diego, will wear the WWT logo at all PGA Tour and other non-collegiate events, according to Golf Digest and the company's announcement on Business Wire. Financial terms were not disclosed. He is the eighth WWT golf ambassador and the first signed through an NIL deal.
Jay Leng Jr.'s Summer: Western Amateur, U.S. Amateur Final, Walker Cup
Leng won the Western Amateur and then reached the final of the U.S. Amateur at Merion two weeks later, finishing as runner-up. He was also second at the Northeast Amateur, played on the U.S. Walker Cup team at Lahinch in Ireland and has the 2027 Masters and the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach on his schedule. Empower signed him as its first college athlete endorsement in October, per the Empower announcement.

The second round is Friday. More college golf and NIL coverage is on BallerTube's golf page.
