Madi Mignery’s recruitment has reached its final stage.

The Class of 2027 IMG Academy standout has narrowed her college choices to Florida, Stanford and LSU, leaving three major programs in the race for one of the top prospects in the country. Mignery is currently rated No. 25 nationally in the Rivals Industry Rankings, while Prep Girls Hoops has her at No. 26 in the 2027 class.

For Mignery, the final three represents another step in a rise that has taken her from a Florida state championship, through a big grassroots run with FGB, and now into IMG Academy for the final stretch of her high school career.

The question is no longer whether Mignery will play major Division I basketball. The question is which of three very different programs will ultimately win her commitment.

Florida, Stanford and LSU Give Mignery Three Different Paths

Florida would keep Mignery close to home and put her in the SEC. The Sarasota native has spent her high school career developing in Florida, and choosing the Gators would allow her to remain connected to that environment while competing against some of the best programs in the country.

Stanford offers a different combination. Few schools can match its academic reputation, and the Cardinal remains one of the most recognizable brands in women's college basketball. For a versatile forward with the ability to operate inside and outside, Stanford presents an intriguing developmental opportunity.

LSU brings perhaps the brightest spotlight of the three. Kim Mulkey has made Baton Rouge a destination for elite recruits, and Mignery is now part of an impressive group of 2027 prospects LSU is pursuing. Rivals rates her as the No. 25 player nationally, No. 8 small forward and No. 2 prospect in Florida.

That makes this an interesting final decision because there isn't an obvious duplicate among the three choices. Each program offers Mignery something different.

Mignery Has Become One of 2027’s Most Versatile Prospects

Mignery's recruitment isn't based solely on size.

Listed at 6-foot-1 by IMG Academy and Prep Girls Hoops, she has developed into a multi-dimensional offensive player who can score around the basket, rebound, attack off the dribble and stretch the floor from three.

That versatility has been particularly noticeable with FGB.

Prep Girls Hoops described Mignery as one of Florida's most dominant players during the grassroots season, pointing to her physicality, rebounding, midrange game and ability to score from beyond the arc. Another evaluation described her as a legitimate three-level scorer who produced multiple 20-point performances.

Those are important qualities for a modern college forward. Programs increasingly want players with enough size to rebound and defend physical matchups without sacrificing spacing or skill offensively.

Mignery fits that mold.

She can punish a smaller defender physically, but putting a traditional post player on her creates another problem because she can move away from the basket and operate on the perimeter.

Her Rise Started Before IMG

IMG Academy may be the biggest name currently attached to Mignery, but she had already established herself as one of Florida's premier prospects before arriving in Bradenton.

Her breakout included helping Cardinal Mooney capture a Florida state championship. In the championship game, Mignery delivered 19 points and 11 rebounds, showing the inside-outside versatility that has become the foundation of her recruiting profile.

The move to IMG puts her in a different environment for the final stage of her development.

IMG's roster is filled with college prospects, meaning Mignery doesn't have to wait for a major tournament or showcase to encounter high-level competition. The challenge exists in practice, in workouts and throughout a national schedule.

For a player already holding opportunities from programs such as Florida, Stanford and LSU, that environment becomes less about proving she belongs and more about preparing for what Division I basketball will demand.

FGB Gave Mignery Another National Stage

Her grassroots work with FGB has been equally important.

Mignery has been able to demonstrate her game outside the structure of high school basketball, where different matchups and faster styles can expose weaknesses quickly. Instead, the FGB environment has reinforced many of the traits that made her a coveted recruit in the first place.

She rebounds. She can play physically. She can score at multiple levels. She has enough skill to move around the floor instead of occupying one traditional frontcourt position.

Prep Girls Hoops currently lists Mignery as FGB's No. 26 nationally ranked 2027 prospect and has repeatedly highlighted her production throughout the grassroots season.

That summer helped set the stage for where her recruitment stands now.

Now Comes the Biggest Decision

Madi Mignery has reached a point many players spend years trying to reach.

She has national recognition, major conference options, a spot at IMG Academy and another high school season ahead of her. ESPN also lists her as a 94-grade 2027 prospect from IMG Academy.

More importantly, she has narrowed the recruiting process enough to begin evaluating fit rather than simply opportunity.

Florida can sell home-state familiarity and SEC basketball.

Stanford can sell an elite combination of academics, basketball and long-term opportunity.

LSU can sell the chance to play inside one of the highest-profile programs in women's college basketball.

Three programs. Three compelling paths.

Madi Mignery spent the past several years building herself into one of the most sought-after players in the 2027 class. After a championship run in Florida, a strong summer with FGB and a move to IMG Academy, her recruitment has finally reached the point where only one decision remains.
