The eight-run fifth inning will get the replays. The reason Tampa Bay never had a chance in Game 3 was Robert Gasser, who held the Rays to one hit over six scoreless innings on 75 pitches, with one walk and three strikeouts, as the Milwaukee Brewers won 10-1 on Monday night.

Milwaukee leads the World Series 3-0 after the win in front of 40,388 at Tropicana Field. The Brewers went 103-59 in the regular season and the Tampa Bay Rays went 98-64.

Eight Runs in the Fifth Off Freddy Peralta and Cam Booser

Christian Yelich and William Contreras singled in runs in the third for a 2-0 lead. In the fifth, Milwaukee batted around and then some: Brice Turang's two-run infield single, a run-scoring single by Garrett Mitchell, a two-run double by Cooper Pratt, then RBI hits from Sal Frelick, David Hamilton and Jackson Chourio made it 10-0. Rays starter Freddy Peralta was charged with five runs in 4 2/3 innings, and reliever Cam Booser gave up four hits and four runs without recording an out, per ESPN's box score.

Chourio finished 4 for 5 with two runs scored. Contreras and Turang had three hits each, and Turang drove in two.

Gasser and Antonio Senzatela Allowed One Hit Through Eight

Antonio Senzatela followed Gasser with two hitless, scoreless innings and no walks. Tampa Bay's only run came in the ninth off Brandon Woodruff, when Yandy Diaz doubled in pinch hitter Cedric Mullins. The Rays finished with three hits.

Game 4 is Tuesday night at Tropicana Field, with the Brewers one win from the championship. Full numbers are in the ESPN box score. Follow the series on our World Series page.
